2016 programme
Wednesday January 13 Experimental Goldwork
Clare Clensey will be with us again to teach this class. This will enable us to try out more advanced techniques than we have tried before. Clare will provide a gold pack and design ideas leaving us free to provide our own materials and design as we wish. However there will be something for everyone. Don't be afraid to come along if you haven't tried Goldwork before. It is much easier than it looks.

Tuesday February 16 Workshop and Sale
A nice relaxed day. Bring your own work to do. Especially anything you need help with from previous workshops etc. Someone will have ideas for you and it is a great day to get to know people without the restrictions of a workshop. Bring along any embroidery- related articles you might like to sell; spare fabric, threads and that book you bought twice!
Tuesday March 15 Stumpwork Pansies
A return visit from Annette Bolton to teach us the stumpwork and how to embroider a lovely stumpwork spray with a free standing pansy at its heart. This piece is stitched round a corner Annette has worked her piece round a corner to frame a poem but there are lots of variations. We haven't had stumpwork for several years so this will be a chance to make a very pretty and useful piece of work.

Wednesday September 14 Embroidered Boxes
This is our annual visit from Beppi Berlin to show us how to work the little boxes she brought last year The idea is that Beppi will let us have the dimensions of the boxes well ahead so we will be able to work the outside (or buy printed fabric) and on the day she will concentrate on the beautiful 3D interiors.
Tuesday October 11 Stitched Christmas Decorations
Lesley Irving will teach us how to make a variety of unique decorations. Whilst machining is quicker you can choose to stitch by hand. Lesley is going to provide several patterns so if you don't like bringing your machine you can try machine versions when you get home.
